Estimates

Width
This is the measurement that is given first when ordering a window or screen. The width is measured from jamb to jamb (side to side). Measure at the top, middle, and bottom and use the largest dimension. Round up to the next full inch.
 

Height
The height of the window is taken from the sill (bottom) to the header (top). Measure at the left, middle, and right and use the largest dimension. Round up to the next full inch.
 

United Inches
This is the method of calculating the cost of materials in window products. To get the united inches for each window, add the width and the height. If you have more that one window, add all the widths and heights together to get the united inches for your home. (I.E. Width = 36 and Height = 55, United Inches =91)
